Homeade Smoked Salt

Who here doesnt love smoked salt? Myself I love it but hate to read all the ingredients that you need to be a chemist to understand. So today I emptied a box of kosher salt in a stainless bowl on my smoker and let er rip. I took the wisk to it about every 30 minutes. Hickory was on the menu today.I'll check er in the mornin when the dust settles.

A lot of jerky recipes call for smoked salt, it can be hard to find in small towns, google it, YES it can be quite rich for the blood, along with the shipping.
