have quite an impact on me.
I had started calling in AZ, learned a bit about it & called & killed some critters.
then I lost my job, couldn't find work for months. Finally ended up here, in AL.
Lots of good hunting here, but it's costly. Not a lot of public land. Most private land is leased & lease rates went from high to insane.
So my hunting has sucked. Hard to stay fired up when you don't have a place to hunt.
After a week in the desert calling, meeting new people, having fun, I got the bug again.
Now I need to finish getting a calling rifle, learn to call on an open reed call, etc.
Access for calling predators is a lot easier than access for deer. I think we should be able to get out & do this much more often & easier. Am going to make the effort, any way.
Need to polish my calling skills before next year's hunt
