Fiocchi .223 40 grain V Max

.204

Anybody have any experience with these in a 1:9 twist barrel? Have a buddy that traded his .223 for a .204 and he said he'll give a me a deal on 400 rds. Just wondering if the twist is a little fast for these. I see they aren't quite as hot as the the hornadys (Fiocchi-3650fps, Hornady-3800fps) maybe that will help a little. Thanks for any input.

I've shot about 500 rounds down a 9 twist savage 10fp on prairie dogs and got along real well. Never really tested them on paper besides sighting in, but they shot real as well or better than anything else I've used prairie dogging. Terminal effects are about what you would expect from the v-max. Overall, if I could get a deal on them, I would jump at it. The brass seems to be pretty decent too, if are a reloader. My .02.
