I called to make reservations at the Comfort Inn Suites and the lady said there was some PM'ers there now and that they were all full, roomwise! I got in at the Sleep Inn, though (the $55 one). Was gonna take my camper, but RV parks are $45 and if we stayed at a friend's we wouldn't have as easy access to showers, bathroom, WiFi, electrical outlets, etc. So, we're splurging.

ANYWAY.... it appears that someone's there! We'll be there Thurs night.

I'm here, too. I guess that, based on your perspective, I'm lucky enough to still own a house here even though I've moved to another town. I'll be heading out in the morning; going to hit the Deming/Columbus/Lordsburg area. I'm new to calling, but very familiar with the area. PM me if you know of anyone over there at the hotel interested in heading out that way.

Corey

Yep, met up with about a dozen PMers last night. Sounded like they were ready to give 'em heck first thing this morning.

Dang, I KNEW work was gonna interfere, not going to make it - going on a cattle buying trip to northern Wyoming. 800 miles north for work, instead of 350 miles south; where I have kids, in-laws, and grandkids!!!
Y'all have a BALL !!!!!!

Went out at about six this morning to some of my old stomping grounds. Between running, navigating, and signcutting, I got in nine stands. Eight were blank and, on one, I had one come charging out of the brush at 25 paces. The shotgun was in the truck and I got lost in the scope trying to get on 'em...

He got away clean and I'm still skunked. This is one of the hardest things I've ever gotten myself into; I'm hooked.

Back at it bright and early.
I just stopped by the motel and added my # to the board. If anyone's intereseted in heading way west of town in the AM, give me a call.

Hidenseek, your plans roughly mimick mine. I'd be interested in meeting up with you later in the week. Because of work I will not be abe to hunt unti Thursday. I'll be at the orientation on Wednesday night and would like to meet you and talk strategy.

Live in KY. Was driving so had to get out before the storm hit back east. Got here Friday in time to get licenses and maps. Hunted Saturday afternoon and got one. Will send pics if you provide email address. Went with a friend up north on Sunday and called in 6 yotes and 1 bobcat but no bobcat tag. One yote down, the rest were not close enough. Went this afternoon, once more called one in but too far away.

Is there a board I'm suppose to put my name on? Where is it? Thanks and good luck!

Geep, there's a board in the lobby of the comfort inn we've been putting our contact info on.

Got here yesterday but won't actually do any hunting until Wed. My mother/father/sister/niece drove in fron San Antonio to see me, and my nephew who is almost like a so (lived with me for years) and his family are coming in tomorrow, so I ve been doing family stuff.

I'm going to sight in my rifles tomorrow morning, and I'm taking my 11 yr old niece who has never fired a firearm before with me. I'm looking forward to that about as much as I am looking forward to hunting (well maybe not quite, but it's always very cool to introduce a kid to their first shooting experience).

I'm not sure of the exact number already here, but there were ~20 at a pretty good Mexican dinner in Old Mesilla tonight.

More later as time permits.

Hope ya'll have alot of fun. It was my intent to hop over the mountain for a few days for this one. But it's a little too close to the time my new hunting partner is due so I told the wife I would stay around the area.
Best of luck to you all!

We're here. Left home at 9 am, got here right at 5 pm. I'd call that a good day's work. We pretty much drove straight in- didn't stop to call, although I kept an eye on the map and the country as we got closer. We just took a nice, easy drive w/out trying to be in a hurry.

Heading off to the Museum in 1/2 hour or so...
