Kiss Your Freedoms Goodbye If Health Care Passes

Congress recognizes no limits on its power. It doesn't care about the Constitution, it doesn't care about your inalienable rights. If this health care bill becomes law, America, life as you have known it, freedom as you have exercised it and privacy as you have enjoyed it will cease to be.

Tomorrow, the House of Representatives will vote on a 2,000 page bill to give the federal government the power to micromanage the health care of every single American. The bill will no doubt pass. It will raise your taxes, steal your freedom, invade your privacy, and ration your health care. Even the Republicans have introduced their version of Obamacare Lite. It, too, if passed, will compel employers to provide coverage, bribe the states to change their court rules, and tell insurance companies whom to insure.

We do not have two political parties in this country, America. We have one party; called the Big Government Party. The Republican wing likes deficits, war, and assaults on civil liberties. The Democratic wing likes wealth transfer, taxes, and assaults on commercial liberties. Both parties like power; and neither is interested in your freedoms. Think about it. Government is the negation of freedom. Freedom is your power and ability to follow your own free will and your own conscience. The government wants you to follow the will of some faceless bureaucrat.

When I recently asked Congressman James Clyburn, the third ranking Democrat in the House, to tell me "Where in the Constitution the federal government is authorized to regulate everyone's healthcare--, he replied that most of what Congress does is not authorized by the Constitution, but they do it anyway. There you have it. Congress recognizes no limits on its power. It doesn't care about the Constitution, it doesn't care about your inalienable rights, it doesn't care about the liberties protected by the Bill of Rights, it doesn't even read the laws it writes.

America, this is not an academic issue. If this health care bill becomes law, life as you have known it, freedom as you have exercised it, privacy as you have enjoyed it, will cease to be.

When Congress takes away our freedoms, they will be gone forever. What will you do to prevent this from happening?

I think that is currently the Multi-Trillion Dollar Question and there is no simple solution...

One RINO voted in favor of it. He'll be gone next election. This 20 pound crap sandwich will have difficulty passing the Senate. If it does pass, it will be brought before SCOTUS. We ain't dead yet.

I don't understand why this would be reviewed by SCOTUS. Why would they even take this case ,as it is pretty well established that congress has the authority to make laws.Anyway, the Senate will pass healthcare reform. No doubt, 2010 will see a lot of blood on the ground. Blue dog democrats are going to pay the price for the liberal wing of the parties legislative foolishness. Joseph Cao is from an overwhelmingly democratic district in New Orleans. Why in the world would this Republican vote against healthcare reform. He voted the way his constituents would desire and did the right thing.

show me in the constitution where congress is authorize to force me to buy health care, or any thing for that matter.

this is the kinda stuff that made the first revolution happen in the first place.

a tyrannical government forcing stuff against the will of the people for more power to the government.

man i neeeds more bullets

So are you guys paid by the insurance companies or have you just learned to recite the talking points that their paid hacks pump out?

No, we are freedom-loving traditional Americans and our liberty was just ROBBED by weak, effete people who pale in comparison to this nation's founders.

The only liberty at danger here is the liberty to shaft us that the insurance and pharmaceutical companies have been taking full advantage of.

yep the insurance companys are making hughe proffits off of every body, a whole 2.2%.

not many companys would be in business with a 2.2% proffit margin.

you face fines & federal prison time if you refuse to buy insurance that some as yet unnamed bureaucrat decides that you have to have.

Sounds like one helluva loss of freedom to me.

RR, tell me how long you think the Insurance companies will be able to compete with tax subsidized Gov't mandated Insurance? Also how do you feel about being fined and put in jail if you don't have a acceptable insurance coverage? The whole health care crisis has been caused by Gov't regulations to begin with. The Gov't has stifled competition with its regulations. Oh yeah, and the illegals will be covered at taxpayer expense and low income people will get tax credits at your expense. Of course then there will be rationing of health care based on what a bunch of beaurocrats decide if you are worth the expense or not. Trillions of dollars to supossedly cover 36 million people without insurance, it would be cheaper just to pay for their insurance rather than create the monster the dems have to have to contol you.

They should be able to do fine by making people a better offer. Wouldn’t this be a perfect opportunity for them to prove that the free market can out perform a Gov backed option? Are you suggesting that the Gov can do something right?

But you’re OK with the current system where the insurance companies do this now?

I'm on the side of individual freedom & liberty.

Libs are all about freedom to choose, just so long as you choose what they approve of.
