walked into a hollow with brush in the bottom saw 3 deer about 500+ yards away on other side, watch them bed down and we moved into position, I started calling and about 5 mins into the calling a bunch of small birds blew out a a bush about 75 yrds away, about 30 seconds later the deer got up out of there bed and got out of dodge. something spooked them but we never saw anything...
