mp3 and cold weather

Has anyone experienced any problems with their mp3 players during cold weather? I went calling last night ,it was around 32 degrees and the player seemed to skip.I had just put new batteries in also.Is this a mp3 problem or a problem with my azden, the two units were feet away from one another.

Actually, we have had 16 consecutive days of sunshine and average temps around 60-70... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I don't know what could be the problem with the mp3 player skipping, and haven't heard any other problems that could suggest that the cold can effect it in such a way... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
