rs powerhorn

I have noticed that the rs powerhorn has a rather deadened sound at lower volumes. I suspect this is due to the plastic outer shell. Just a thought (haven't tried this yet), but what if you cut back some of the outer shell of the horn to let let more sound try to escape. I called a bobcat with this setup on Sunday and he didn't seem to mind the dead sound. I just wondered if this might give a more crisp sound effect. Let me know what you think.

Clearfork,
I think that you are right about the large bell on RS powerhorn. I didn't want to cut mine down, so I just switched speakers. My mid-range Johnny Stewart speaker gives better quality sound.

My RS PS Speaker seemed to have a HOLLOW sound to it. I guess I didn't think of cutting it back a little, but instead I wrapped it with FOAM TAPE. I put 3 or 4 layers on it, then wrapped it with cloth camo tape. I have only used it once since I did this, and it seemed to help with the hollow sound.
