he is the hog coming at the camera at the end of my videos. I'll try to get more recent pics of him. Although he's gentle it is very dangerous to go in the pen with him. No pictures do him justice he incredibly huge!!!!!!!!!!!!! everyone say the same thing as soon as they see him in person! HOLY SHIZNIT!!!!!!!!!!!!
he will be 6 years old in Oct. we have a half breed feral/domestic that is even bigger. I will start a new thread in a few days of him. didn't mean to steal this thread. sorry.

True that, but even if it isn't 500lbs... Still a pretty decent hog... I wouldn't mind looking at one that size through my scope

he is nothing more than a feral hog. One night while hunting I shot a huge sow that was very close to giving birth. I cut her open and took out 6 pigs. Michelle and I were only able to get two of them to take a breath. We raised them in the house on a bottle. The other one was spotted. HE wouldn't stay in his pen, he was always jumping out. HE was always about 50 pounds lighter than porky. I sold the escapee 3 summers ago at 425 pounds on certified scales.
I use Porky for magazine photo's and sound recording. It is incredible what you can learn from them. At on e time I had around 30 of them penned up.

Just saw the picture of the 500 pound hog that was shot I thought a hog in the wild couldn't get that big because of limited food.. It would take a lot of food all the time to grow one that big wouldn't?

If he's truly 500 lbs, he's most likely a barrow. The phony pose makes me think he's not 500 lbs. Certainly not as big as he appears at any rate. I'm getting sick and tired of all these phony poses with dead hogs that the media seemingly loves to publish nowadays. Every time I see one of these pics with a hog on a hill and a hunter crouched 3 feet behind it, I immediately know the guy is a grifter and a liar.

I've seen a few bar hogs 300+ naturally in the wild very few get that big. Boar hogs spend to much time fighting and well you get it.

Guess, Did you bar that one? I've raised a bunch of them and never could get a tame one if he had girls on his mind. LOL bet you don't wanna know how much money that thing has eaten, We got as much stale bread bad fruit and anything free we could and still fed more than I wanna remember.
