Bobcat Setup Advice Request

I'm not sure if you can gain much from a map, but I thought I would try. I'm trying to figure out the best setup for calling bobcat on a farm in NE MO. Any thoughts on where/how you would setup are appreciated.

The red line is the border of the 160 acres. The blue show the ponds/ditches. The CRP is marked & the rest of the fields are split beans/corn rotation (this is an old picture so it doesn't appear that way). The yellow spots are where cats have been spotted. The three that are close together were spotted on game cam & the others were during dear season this past year. Using FX3, Mojo Critter & .204 Ruger.

I would say inbetween the 3 dots in the center and the two dots on the RT. With that creek running thru it anywhere thru there will be good but inbetween the two crp fields would be pretty good. Use some kind of decoy would be an advantage.

I am by no means any sort of expert but I would try two different set ups.

First off I would leave the rifle at home and grab the 12 gauge with some #4 buck or heavy shot in B or T. I would place my decoy and caller about 30 yards in front of me(green square) and put my back right up against the pond in that patch of cover above the CRP(red dot). I would expect the cat to come around either side of the pond and work his way towards the caller.

The other way I would set up would to be to put the caller and decoy right at the edge of the ditch where it leaves the cover above the big pond(green square).I would position myself on the edge of the ditch where it enters the other piece of cover.(red dot) I would guess the cat would work his way down the ditch right into your lap.

Guys, thanks for the advice.

gonzaga - someone else had mentioned to me about setting up to the E of the 3 dots right below that pond to pull them out of the ditch.

Mainiac - both of those spots you mention look good as well. I really like the E one because as someone IMed me about brush piles, there is one right below that big pond that they would be able to follow the ditch down to that set.
