Contemplating a 6arc build

Night time thermal rig with a can.
Mostly Coyotes with some hogs thrown in.
Barrel length ? Thinking 18-22. Afraid 18 will be leaving to much velocity on the table.
Looking at the Proof 20” SS, but dang it’s heavy , and the Shaw 22” fluted . It’s a good deal lighter than the 20” proof.
Help me out .

At the distances you will be shooting thermal at night the 18" vs. 20" is a moot point.

I have a 18" and it's a coyote killing machine for sure. Not too heavy either. The 6mm ARC is a neat little round.

I've had all three, 18", 20", & 22". I prefer 20" tubes on my AR's no matter the cartridge.

I'd be more concerned with OAL dependent on your can length.

Are people still experiancing bullet creap when you chamber a round on the 6AR? I know that was of some concern when it first came out.
