While I was out on my snowmachine checking and setting traps I found 6 different fox dens. They are located on a steep bank that has been drifted in heavily by snow. They are all being used as the tracks are EVERYWHERE. Is it effective to set the entrance? I set the low lying areas around the dens because I was not sure if it is a good idea to set the den itself. I also dont know whether to use a foot trap or snare outside the den.
Is it better to stay away from them completely, or should I try and set them, and if so, how?
