He was in the field when we got there, maybe 300 yds out. We snuck in to about 200 yds and lip squeaked. He acted like he did not hear us so I used a mouth call to get his attention, then lip squeaked again. He came on a run and stopped at about 90-100 yds. I killed him there.
The grass was knee high and when he dropped we could not see him in the thermal. I used the laser to mark where he went down and we followed the beam and walked right to him.
