A worthy tactic and i'm sure guys do it. One things for sure, you can see ALOT further.
I've thought about it and my one issue is how time consuming it would be. I could get 2-3 stands in in the same amount of time it would take for a guy to set-up, call & takedown a climber. Also, hauling the climber with all the other crap I carry would be an issue.
For a bobcat, i'd definitely consider it.
Thats my concern, is it better to call a few spots, or be up in the air for one good stand. Debating whether it's worth the hassle.
Squatch, you asked the question that I asked myself a long time ago, I would rather sit for a while and kill coyotes than run up the number of stands I go to...But then again I hunt farms, so coyotes constantly moving through...
