Tell Us A Little About Yourself

Doc, I can't tell you how much we appreciated and honored you guys. I don't believe any of us at any time ever wanted ANYONE closer by than you fellas. Anyway, I'm in North Orange County, a little city that tucks up against LA and San Bernadino counties, Brea. Been here for years with a big break while in the Military. We're thinking of ditching the So Cal life style and moving back home to Texas, either the wifes home of El Paso or mine, San Antonio. I imagine you know that city well

Folks, you can't imagine the lengths some of those medics and corpmen went to help out the common grunt.

Take Care!

O.K., after 247 plus posts, I better post mine. I Love the Lord. I am a horrifric sinner. I hate porn' but I often subcumb. I love hunting, I LOVE HUNTING. When out between stands I pray for the likes of Bob/SoCal and Encore, (I think they are the same human with split personalities. Bob is the nice one but Encore is the mean one. Both love people and a good laugh. When the desire to laugh is great, Encore usually wins, but Bob is the peacemaker. However, the 2 are 1 and 1 are 2 as you are he and I am he and you are me and we are all together. [Get it?] I am the eggman?!>! Never Mind. (couldn't resit) (I am the egg man!!! Goo- goo guh choo) NEVER MIND I have had one too many Pacificos anyway. Maybe I ought to try another 24 oz. Sunshine flavored beer. BYe.................I'm not as you think drunk I am.......ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz!
Oh yeah, my wifey will kill me if I am not honest here, I would die for my love, The Lord's truth or any of my 3 1/2 kids!!!!! I mean it too!!!!!!!!

My fellow hunters...My name is Jimmy Gray, born in Odessa, Tx, raised in Robert Lee, Tx, and I currently live in San Angelo. I do most of my hunting at a muddy lake near Snyder, TX called Lake J.B. Thomas, Home of the Coyote. I made me a calling box using an old tape player out of a truck with a 100 foot cord connected to a really big power horn, untill the tape player burned up from me calling so much. My caliber of choice is a .243, Remington Model 660, and I LOVE it. I reload my own ammo, 80 Grain spitzer boattail ballistic tippers ;-) gets the job done. I work for a software company called Data Managment Inc., the software is TimeClock Plus. I have 2 roommates, which is an exciting adventure day by day! Some other hobbies of mine are "trying" to play my guitar, and four-wheeling, and of course HUNTING! My truck is my most prized possession, a 21 year old Ford F-150 4x4, I have had this baby since I was about 4 years old. Happy hunting yall! Good to be here, good to have elders that can help me out if I am ever in a bind.

WOW... there are some very cool people on the board!! First off... THANKS to all the VETS who put your lives on the line for God, freedom and country, without you guys our life would be HELL!!!

About me?? I am 37 years old, live in Dallas TX. I am married to a wonderful woman and have 3 daughters (17, 16 and 3), 2 stoopid cats and a great German Shepherd. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, but I LOVE GOD first and foremost. My hobbies are hunting, camping, fishing, and paintball. I dont care for football, baseball, golf or any other sports where the participants are paid outrageous salaries for something I would do for free. And besides I just have a hang-up about grown men playing with balls and patting each other on the butt!! (

OK, I guess it's my turn.
My name is John O'Neil, and I live in Maryland, half way between Baltimore and Washington DC. I am 51 years old and have been married for going on 18 years. We have two great kids, a 15 year old girl, and a thirteen year old boy. Mom has the girl afraid to go in the basement with my guns or reloading stuff, but my son can't get enough of it. He and I love to hunt almost anything, but mostly, whitetail deer and coyotes. By trade, I am a safe technician. I open locked safes for the Washingtom metro area. I'v been working in the industry for 45 of my 51 years. My Dad was a locksmith and had his own shop in Calif. I grew up in that shop.
I have been hunting sence I was old enough to cross the street by myself, and will continue to hunt till I can no longer cross that street. I have never had so many laughs befor I visited this forum. Thanks to all for the good times. I really enjoy this board and all of you folks.
John

With the infux of new members, about 10 a day so far, I thought I'd move this thread up a little. Please take a few seconds and introduce yourself, we rarely bite....unless encore is left unsupervised, I won't guarantee anything if someone has removed his leash /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Thought I would move this back to the top. I'm seeing alot of new faces on here. Thought I would give them a chance to introduce themselves.

Hi,
I live in Northern Wisconsin. I'll be 64 yrs. old this July. Grew up on a farm. Married for 44 years to a great woman. Two sons and a daughter. Spent a tour with Naval Aviation, taught school for a year then went to a research lab. Retired after 32yrs with the U.S. Gov., Degree in Zoology/Botany. After I retired spent some time as an Environmental Educator. Mostly teaching some uninformed/misinformed folks what "mother nature" is really about. Started hunting when I was 12. Predators have been secondary targets until now but with the assistance of the good people at P.M, they are becoming my target of choice.

Hello everyone,my name is Art Oliver.Originally from east Tex.,Marshall/Longview area, now living is El Centro,CA.43 yrs. old, married with 2 girls and 1 son in the middle.
I started hunting coyotes when I was 16,bought a 3 call set of jackrabbit calls from Circe and read the instructions and went out and shot a coyote with a 10/22 first time out.Still have the calls.
I hunt all yr.round, mostly dove, pheasant, quail and ducks.I favor the 222 Rem as my calling rifle and the 870 with 4/o buck for brush work.I generally hunt alone as not too many guys out here are interested in varmint calling.
I'm self employed as a painter so I can't hunt as much as I would like to.The Imperial has open land that I haven't even tried and I've hunted here since '68.
What I really like is the homemade stuff, with help from this board I have a remote controlled e-caller and have made a kill over it recently. Now that was satisfying!
This is the friendliest bunch of guys I've ever run across on the web and this site has become my favorite hunting site.If it can get any better I want to be in on it.
Thanks everyone,Art

Let's see now. I am 31 years old and have been married for 6 years to a wonderful woman. I have two stepdaughters and a son. I started shooting .22's when I was 4 yrs old and then at the age of 7 I took my first whitetail. Ever since then its been non stop hunting. I grew up in West Texas, near Lubbock and now reside in Abilene, Tx. Predator hunting is fairly new to me and with all the info and advice on this site, I am sure to only get better. Outside of hunting deer, hogs, dove, quail and coyotes I try to get in as much fishing as the family will allow. Just this year I started kicking around the idea of opening my own business building hunting equipment. Business is slow but I have really enjoyed building and designing new blinds. My first blind was a truck blind so that me and my buddies could use at night to hunt coyotes with.

I was born when FDR was Prez, I ain't saying how old I am. Been married 4 damn times and I'm sticking with this last one. Got a 35 year old daughter in Colorado, great kid. I guess I could say I've been a varmint hunter for more then 50 years, but only been predator calling for close to 40 years. I've been lucky enough to have hunted all over the west and Mexico. Only one way I'll ever stop predator calling, I'll have to meet my maker. Who knows, I may even start a predator calling club up there, emmmmm or down there? hehehe. Good Hunting
