What else is new? Enviromentalist radicals stop this, shut down forest timber harvest, stop power plants, stop oil drilling, stop mining and then folks wonder why we have problems.
Lawsuit to be filed to stop delisting of wolf

This should not surprise anyone. We all knew this was coming. The real hard part to swallow is the fact that these groups dont give a flying [beeep] about the wolves, the timber, the spotted owl or anything else. They simply like to screw with the Federal Govt.

Doesn't matter.... if I see one between now and then, It is gonna get put down !! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Again for the 100th time. A lawsuit doesn't mean a thing. In order for the judge to halt any management by the states, the lawsuit has to contain merritt in it. There has to be some validity to it. Just a lawsuit being filed doesn't mean squat. Lets hope a judge with a level head (most do) gets the suit and throws it where it belongs.

Get the wolf ammo ready!

NONYA... your'e right... Hope he has good luck...

Talked to the local warden last night, he said no kills reported yet, but lots of people in the field looking /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The only thing that scares me is that, for a Judge to issue an injuction and stop this, he would be setting a precedent of interferring with Fish and Wildlife. Some Judges LOVE to do this /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/angry-smiley-055.gif to get their name in the spotlight, and to get their case in a book that is cited in future cases! If the wackos find a Judge that will do this now, for the wolves, they will be all set with the right Judge when the fight comes about for grizzly bear.

The organizations that have sent letters of intent to sue, don't get to pick their judge that presides over the lawsuits. The suit is handled by judges at random. They hand them out in order of filing. It's luck of the draw to get a sympathetic judge. I see no merit in the lawsuits, and all that these pro-wolf groups can come up with is they feel that not enough population exits for the recovery of the population. That's a really hard sell especially since the science dictated that 330 wolves would indicate a recovered population. Sitting at 5 times that will look silly. Look for a season this fall. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif
