I just read the most incredible book about Dale Lee, who some call the greatest houndsman ever. The book is called "Life of the Greatest Guide: Hound Stories and Others of Dale Lee".

Anybody every hear of this guy?....read the book??

I've never hunted with hounds but dream of hunting lions in Arizona and this book captures everything great about hunting lions in the Southwest.

I highly recomend it...

I still haven't read the book but keep intending to get a copy. A friend of mine from years ago worked for Lee when the friend was a teenager, helping to handle dogs etc. He had some incredible stories that probably don't make the book, at least not in details. He said that Lee called a jaguar out to a boat in the middle of a river one night in the moonlight and the cat tried to climb in. Is that story in the book? Sounds like a good read.
