Greydigger siting yesterday

They're two months early according to last years showing.

I saw four young ones and eventually got a shot at a large one. Wasn't sure if I saw Eastern Greys at first but confirmed tt when I got one in my scope and later saw the active burrow entrance and trampled paths in some undercover.

Believe it or not I have decided to try sitting in an oak tree for this particular group. They are close to a road and angles are limited from where I can point so I need to get up higher to increase my chances. They store a ladder 20yds from that spot.

Sorry to be ignorant,,,, But what is a Greydigger?? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Those greydiggers are my favorite varmint so far. They'll do a peek-a-boo after going down a hole by coming back up another hole 15 feet from the one they disappeared into- usually just outside the field of view for my scope.

They don't just roll over either and ALWAYS head down a tunnel so the shot needs to be devastating if you want to see your target.
