Saturday evening hunt

Had a neighbor call about coyote spooking his calves. Went out aboout 4:30 called two places. Called one in the first place but the coyote got between me and the calves could never get a shot. Wallked across the road and called two up the creek. Both times they snuck in down wind. I had set the call upwind and I set about 60-70 yards down from it. The one I shot was only 30 yards from me when he came out of the creek bottom. Using rabbit distress sounds on the e-caller along with howls and whines with my hand calls.

The weather was perfect with a slight breeze and 24 degrees. This was the end of dry spell for me. Hope this was the turn around this year.
