Unit 36A; Coues Deer

I'll be in Southern Arizona hunting Coues Deer during the late rifle hunt. I believe it is the 17-31. My father and his friend have the tags and I will be along for the fun and I may purchase an over the counter archery tag if they fill out early. We have all hunted these animals before but never been in 36A. I have looked over Arizona Game and Fish's website as it does provide some decent info on the area and starting points. If any of you have some pointers on where to start it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
 
The Cerro Colorado's have a reputation of big bucks on top but it's hard to get up there. I've hunted the Las Guijas mountains and this year some of my coworks said they had seen some large whitetail bucks in the low country north of the Las Guijas while they were hunting mule deer. 36A is not a unit I have hunted whitetail in very much.
