Have any of you had any problems with your stock warping after you have free floated it? One of mine is starting to warp and close the space on one side of my rifle barrel. I use a dehumidifier in my gun safe but, this isn't seeming to help this rifle any. Any thoughts?
Wood will take on or give up moisture, depending on conditions. If the stock is being affected, while in your safe, look out when its out in the "real" weather. I would go with a synthetic stock to eliminate the problem.
Another solution would be to coat the inside of the forearm with a coat or two of stock finish (as a sealer). If that doesn't help then I would difinately consider another stock.
