AR Bullet seating

I am reloading for my AR for the frist time. When working up a load I ussually start with .010 off of the rifling. When I did this for my AR I checked the first one and it wont fit in the magazine. In order to fit my magazine I have to seat .110 off of the lans.
Has this been a problem for any of you guys that reload for your AR's? Do you worry about bullet depth or not?
I'm using Lapua brass, Benchmark powder and 55 gr V-max's to start...
Also crimp or not?

Perfectly normal, just load to the max your magazine will allow (2.25 for most guys). No crimp needed, though some guys do anyway.

I even load some of mine shorter than the magazine... Some of the reloading manuals (Sierra for one) indicate down to 2.20"

Some of my most accurate loads are at 2.24" +/-.

If I were shooting the longer, heavier bullets, to be loaded single stage, I would probably get concerned about the seating depth.

My 20 rd. magazines allow 2.260 overall length and that's what I load nearly all to. That is for bullets from 40-70 grains. You should not need to crimp in most cases.
