I know theres going to be alot of suggestions as to why you might have a digger fox. We are all familar at bedding a trap right etc. etc.. But i you do get a digger or pan scraper try this. My grandfather fixed one up for me years ago and I still keep one trap done up and ready to go every season.I have a 1.75 victor and on the trap pan I have a decent size split shank trebble hook minus the one barb soldered to my pan. Spread the barbs apart widefirst, then solder in place. make sure the barbs are super sharp. Two days after my pap made me my first one I had my digger, he was minus two toes on his left paw.Maybe it is just a fluke but over thirty years trapping I've taken maybe a dozen or so with this set up. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif
