This is for all you NV buff's...

The PVS-4 NV riflescope has an internally adjustable Illuminated recticle. If I zero this thing, and then down the road... have to re-zero...
Will I have a ghost recticle image?

I guess this question pertains to ALL internally adjustable, illuminated recticle NV optics.

There is no need to re-zero, unless you change rifles. Since the PVS-4 sits so high above the bore of any rifle, you will have to zero the weapon at 25 yard, with the point of impact 7cm below the bullseye. With that zero (per the mil manual on the PVS-4), you will hit the bullseye dead on at 100 yards.

Tube burn is very minimal, if at all. If you keep the reticle turned low, which you will when you shoot alot, since that is how you get the best sight picture anyway, you don't have anything to worry about. All Gen III scope will exhibit much more tube burn problems than the Gen II PVS-4 will, if you use them in any bright light or with the EOTech's or Aimpoints!

thanks
Jason
