When you are night calling should you keep the light on from the start or call for a little while and then turn it on? Just wondering

You need to look around with the light BEFORE you call. Sometimes there are critters out there close enough to see. Then keep the light on the whole time you are calling. Randy

i have found that if your in hills or brush that if you lip squeek and run the light for a few min.. you will get the real close ones !! after that turn your call on but keep it on low for a few min.. and then turn it up for the far ones you won't run the close ones off!!!! you will be suprised how many are close. it works in the flats somtimes also!! i allways start the caller on low for a few min.. even if i don't lip squeek!! hope this helps!!!
