concealment at night?

Just how well do I need to be concealed at night? My brother and I hunt together at night on snow. We tend to set up in the open, "completely", for lighting and visability. I want to use my light on and off to get more stands out of my battery. Am I an idiot to sit in the open with out the light on to hide behind? Say yes or no. I know Randy is an advocate for using a light continually from his rig. My question is, if on the ground,is continual light usage the only way to go.Please, I could use many different opinions here. Thanks!!
 
Yes keep the light on at all times. That was my biggest mistake when I first started. I would turn it off and on to extend battery life. You need to hide yourself just as much as during the day and keep that light on.
