.....and I had a blast. The first day it was 17 degrees, solid ice in the rice, and 0 ducks close enough to shoot/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif. The next day was 10 degrees warmer, small holes of open water, and lots of ducks. We killed 3 shovelers, and 1 greenwing teal. If I hadn't missed a few gimmies, and we had killed instead of crippling a few shovlers that got away, we would have had 7 ducks total. It was my first time in a pit, thats the way to do it, low profile, wind break, it works well. Even though we didn't get close to a limit it was great, me, my dad, my uncle, my cusin, and my dog. I can't wait to go back next year. Here are some pics of the trip.
