I've seen Gray Fox respond to a an electronic caller playing the Gray Fox Pup Distress on numerous occassions. Probably one of the very best sounds for calling them. My question is, Will a "Red" Fox respond at all to a "RED Fox Pup Distress" sound?
Is the maternal instinct stronger in a Gray than a Red? I was going through some old CD's and cassette tapes of predator calling sounds and stumbled onto an old Dennis Kirk "Red Fox Pup Distress" sound. Either I have never tried it or found it worthless some years ago and just forgot about it.
