Leupold wide duplex ?

I'm looking for a new scope for a walking predator gun. I was at Cabela's and checked out the Leupold 2-7x32 with the regular duplex cross-hairs. The scope was nice but the cross-hairs seemed to fine for the brushy and heavy timber areas I hunt. I was wondering if anyone has this scope with the wide duplex and how well it performs in heavy cover? Also, how does it effect longer shots in open areas?
 
hello, the wide duplex is only different from the duplex recticle because the thin part of the recticle is wider from side to side where the X comes together,if you prefer something thicker probably the heavy duplex might be better i have not looked thru one but i have the wide duplex on my 2x7 & my buddy has duplex on his.it is a tossup to me but...the wide duplex is not thicker......
