Red Fox Day or Night

Do red fox respond to a call better during daylight hours or at night.

I've seen them come at both times and i would say that they are easier to hunt in the day because you can spot them sunning but they come to the call so weary in the day at night they seem to commit a lot easier.

I've hunted fox in GA for many years...and always had more luck after dark.You can hold a weak red light on a fox and they won't scat.As far as what time of night....well that hasn't seemed to matter where the fox was concerned..just as long as it was dark.Goodluck to you.

I have to tell you that I have had more luck calling them at night.
