M-1 Garand, 458 Win Mag

Heck, I dont even know how a Garand works, but it definitly was a Garand and in 458 Win mag.
I was imagining a recoil spring off a datsun pick up.
The emptys only flipped about three feet, I noticed cause he set up on my left and I was worried about his brass. (been hit before)
The tube under the barrel was large, the diameter of the barrel or more, and extended to about within 3 inches of the end of the barrel or so. The front sight was a post and had the protecting wings. The rear sight normal Garand.
Is the bolt face flat? or does it surround part of the base?
Anyway ya gota admire american ingenuity.

Sorry for the side track. A 458 Garand would be interesting no matter what had to be done to make it work.

extended family has a 458wm in a model 70 i think it is... and its downright abusive. my bmg doesnt kick like that thing does. lol

sorry you would not be allowed to take it to Africa, semi auto's not allowed and pressure the old 458 ammo was 53000 psi now we load them up to 63,000 404 gr bullet at 2550 fps
