A friend uses H380 in his 22-250 and I have a bunch so I thought I might try it myself. I went to Hodgdon's site and was kind of amused. I searched 40,50,52,53 and 55 grain bullets. Starting load was 38 grains and max was 41 on all bullet weights. I guess its up to me to figure it out. LOL

I heard the story about how H380 got its name. I have a 22-250 and bought some H380. Using the Nosler 55g BT I was able to achieve 3600fps without signs of pressure and had good accuracy. Not wanting to stress my brass I backed off and found a good accuracy load at 3510fps. I am sure that some of newer powders out there might produce better velocities, but I don't think coyotes will know the difference. I am sticking with the H380.

36 grs H380, 55 gr Remington SP has always shot well for me in my Remington 700 Varmint, wrecks prairie dogs!!

I am not a fan of it,seemed pretty temp sensitive to me ,so tried Varget and have not shot anything else in my 22-250 rifles.
