Nosler 22 new velocities?

Good morning guys,

So I’ve been reading some of the older write ups etc on this caliber and am a little confused. Early on back in 2017 Nosler and many articles mentioned 3500fps from their own proprietary 55gr ballistic tip load when fired from a 24” barrel. Now all the new specs show 3500fps from a much shorter 18” barrel. What gives? Did Nosler hop up the load some recently? Picture attached of the new box I just received. Well how do I attach it?

I've not seen this but 3320 ish in an 18" and 3500 ish in a 22" with 55s is about max speed.

I’ve gotta buy a new chronograph as my old one is dead. Will have to see what numbers I get out of my new Wilson Combat with 20” barrel. Nosler’s own load data and their factory load doesn’t even match. Different barrel lengths too. See link below.

My Wilson Combat 22" 8 twist does very well with 55 Nosler ballistic tips at 2.280" with 33 grains of CFE 223 and 450 primers. I'm guessing that would be about 3430 in you 20"

I would happy with that. Thanks. By the way how do you like the Wilson Combat? I’ve got a 1911 45cal. The gun is amazing and quality of work is spectacular. This is what led me to ordering one of their AR’s. It arrives tomorrow.

I just have a Wilson Combat barrel and I actually picked it up used but it shoots extremely well.

My 24" 8 twist White Oak is right at 3500 with 52 grain bullets according to my chronograph anyway.

Thanks for the info guys. I got the scope yesterday so will mount Monday and do some testing once the new chrono arrives. I’m stoked.
