I tend to favor the 1911 Lightweight Commander .45 ACP as an old favorite knock around with every day carry. And I have found myself without a Commander for a little while now. I took care of that this past week...

I been eyeing the new Springfield Emissary. But the gun funds are a little low right now. That's a really nice Dan Wesson you got there though!!
 

Hard not to like a Commander, that's a beauty.

I've got three myself, two Lightweights in 9mm & 45, and one S/S Combat 45.
 
I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. It is without a doubt the best fitted and well put together new handgun I have seen in a good while. All forged, no MIM, all hand fitted in the USA. It is also set up exactly as my taste would have it. Can't wait to hit the range with it.
