Congrats DU and Bait. Good shooting

Sounds like the "return of the ditch diggers" for DU there...

Awesome outing for both of you

Cameras showed this pair hit the bait pile about 1 last night. The old possum seemed to be holding his ground.

DU, The closer one has some LONG legs. I doubt those legs will help him pass the test though.

You are right. The long legs didn't help although he did run across two cuts. I double lunged him. I had to shoot him earlier than I preferred as he was about to get two of the neighbor's kittens that were on the bait pile with their mother. I do have video but will post it tomorrow afternoon. Here is Mr. Longlegs.

No, when DoubleUp draws a bead on you, legs make no difference.

He was about to have a catnip, but had to settle for a dirtnap. Fine shooting DU.

Been at the farm for the last ten days replacing doors after a burglery. Tweakers stole all of the toilet paper and paper towels. Even took the garbage can out of the kitchen and a package of disposable razors.

Back home now and #8 hit the ground. Chime went off around midnight. She's busy working on what's left of the last beaver I put out for them. You'd think mid May there would be better options as the tail is the only thing left with any substanance.

243 with 55 SBK is a hammer.

Great shot, Wildflights. You are correct about the SBK being a hammer. That bullet and my 6mm Remington takes no prisoners.

Sorry to hear about the thievery. I can’t stand a thief.

Outstanding work wildflights!! The action is still good this late in the season! Sounds like you may have to set up some chime sensors at the farm and spend some time there with 55gr SBK's!

Baitpile calling me out smile LOL

I failed to check zero after traveling. Missed two skunks and managed to gun down one porcupine with a close range/point and shoot around the outbuildings. Should have been running the shotgun with a light...

Close range stinker fail-

You can see the heat signatures of the bullet in the dirt. They land about a foot low.

That stinker thought “what the heck was that?” He certainly is a lucky dude.

I have been having a fit with fox at the bait site when coyote hunting. I will open the cabin door and yell at them, shine a bright light on them and sometimes after being pestered to the point of madness, will even shoot at their feet to run them off. They always come back, sometimes within minutes. I can’t get any rest for them continually pinging the alarm. So, I found this little deal on Amazon that I plan to deploy and have some fun. I will wire in a remote control on/off switch and hook the unit to a small 12 volt battery and see what happens. Scroll down the page to see the video.
