I got the swap finished. Here are a before and a couple of after pics:
Before:
16" carbine gas medium heavy 1/8, 12" quad rail, Form 1 suppressor
And after:
16" Faxon Gunner barrel, 1/8 mid-length gas, 12" slim no-name forearm
I weighed the barrel and fore ends to see how much difference there was, total came out to 14.5oz difference with the new version of course being lighter.
Feels nice. My F1 is kind of heavy and feels like a brick on it. Guess it's time to build another, lighter version.
