Lithium- Ion single use batteries

Anyone use single use Lithium-Ion AA batteries in their callers. I have a new caller and they suggest L-Ions or NI-MH rechargeables, the remote came with a single use Lithium in it?

I've always bought bulk Alkaline for my callers as I don't have access to a charger a lot of times.

I haven't used them in an e caller, but Li ion batteries work very well in trail cameras, especially in the cold. In my experience they run full juice for a long time then die suddenly, whereas alkalines run down gradually and when it's cold they may not work, then when it warms up they sorta work.

I have heard Li ion are well suited for electronics that use little power 90% of the time and need high power 10% of the time, such as cameras. On the other hand, electronics that use power more constantly might work better with alkalines.

Not sure if that helps your decision, but something to consider.

Thank you

I did find a charger that will run off the solar system in my hunting truck so rechargeables are viable now. I have 24 so I can have a set in the caller and a set charging plus I have a pack of single use lithiums to use in the remote. So I should be all set fo4 this season including long trips.

its a shame callers and such arent being built to use 18650, 21700 or 26650 lithium battery technology and so many are still using old antiquated AA/9v form factors.

even the energizer ultimates only have 4.5 watt/hours of runtime on them vs 12.5 for an 18650 or upwards of 18.5 for a 21700 and my 26650 cells i use have 20.35 Wh of runtime on them..

my current 18650/26650 charger runs on a USB-C cable that i attach to a "smart" (variable output) multi port charger hub with like 6 USB ports on it. I also run it in my truck on a similar smart multi port charging hub plugged into my cig lighter. it only needs a 5v/2.1A source (Like most modern "fast" phone chargers run at) to run full go

and it can handle all kinds of form factor sizes/voltage

they also have a 8 port version available but that needs a 5v/3.0A fast charger to run - but again totally compatable with a good solar/battery setup and a proper "smart" regulating charging hub
