Trying to figure out why the 22 creedmoor is so much louder than my other rifles. 22-250 and 223sare very quiet, same can.

Is the barrel shorter on your 22 CM then it is on your 22-250?

With the same suppressor my 22-250 is noticeably louder than my 223.

I think even with both suppressed, AR's are always louder than bolt guns of the same cartridge.

^^ this.

its still quieter than shooting it unsuppressed though.

if you wanna dial it back... you'll have to get an adjustable gas block, and tune it down to one click above BHO. wont match bolt gun suppression levels, but it'll help some.

Yep Port Noise... when shooting my AR in 9mm (blow back) it sounds louder to me than anyone else around.

port noise only way to lessen it is to reduce cycle time of the bolt, but will never go away until gas is shut off causing you to manually cycle bolt.
Or do as suggested in the post above which is my method.

X2 on getting a good adjustable gas block. I run Superlative Arms gas blocks on all of my AR's, and other than the actual noise of the buffer / spring & BCG, the sound out of the gun being fired is the same as my bolt actions suppressed.
I'm running 30 caliber cans on everything from 223 to 300 WM.
