Went to the local gun store today to see if they had a 17 hmr rifle. They did, but no ammo on the shelf. I told the salesman I'll pass because a gun without ammo is essentially useless. He said to hold up, and went to the back. Soon he came back and was like, if you buy it, you get two boxes of ammo. So now I have my first 17. It's just a plain old ruger american. I've already got the trigger down to 1.5 lbs, anything else i should do to it?

suppress it. the 17 hmr is a quiet lil dude with a can. I love them. My boy (9) saved his money and bought a savage 17. It shoots great, i've yet to see a 17 that didn't shoot good.
