Unsuccess

8-10 inches fresh snow.
Got there early, waited half hour til barely light.
Called only couple minutes and waited 20-25 min.
A coyote appears 100+ yards directly in front of truck, sniffs a couple weeds and continues to sniff and look around while going straight away in front of me.
Pretty tough when you just have to watch your success story walk away.

You're a right handed guy I assume?

My best friend is in a wheelchair so he's able to hunt out of his vehicle. He's a lefty so he can only shoot anything straight out in front from the drivers seat. He transfers over into the passenger seat. But if something goes out in front of him he's got the same problem you encountered.

I hope the next one comes in at 9:00, you hear the thump and we get to see a pic. Even if the pic is from the truck.

Thanks guys, this is a calculated happening and frustrating.
It will blow over til the next time and I have the patience to not educate the coyote while losing a shot.
More often when I see one approaching in the rear view mirror I will get a shot left or right.
