Just returned from Roaring Springs, TX. There I hunted on the South Pease ranch (www.southpeaseriverresort.com) with Don Stuckey. Couldn't believe the amount of birds in that area this year. Would recommend anyone interested in hunting quail over dogs check out this area. Jumped covey after covey while calling yotes. Watch out for the snakes though. They are still out crawling around.
