Plus side to Covid and ammo shortage

If there really is a plus side. But I went to three different gun shops today, looked at a few nice rifles and even saw some pretty good deals. Tikka 22LR for $485, a nice Remington Sendero in 300WM for $799 and it has some nice extras and a really nice Kimber for around $1100. I bought a partial box (40) of 22cal 55 grain Match Kings for $5.00 and that was it. Its really amazing how empty the shelves are. I did notice there is still quite a bit of 20 cal bullets out there. May have to break out the 204. So I guess the plus is I'm not spending money on stuff I really don't need.

It's had giys I've chatted with for years reach out for help. Nothing like passing on one's good fortune to those caught in the lurch while trying to make a loving for their families. Also my friends in the gun parts manufacturing business are smiling from ear to ear and are downright jovial when I visit their shops.

Not sure the model as I don't know that much about Kimbers. I read the model on the barrel but I have CRS and have forgot. It had a nice walnut stock, stainless fluted barrel in like a heavy sporter, 308. It was a nice clean rifle.

I agree, 2020 has sucked pretty bad. Sure has cut down on the activities people ordinarily do. My son barely gets a full week of work and the ex lost her job s I help them as much as possible. I'm a little luckier than some, I get a SSI check and had money saved back in a retirement fund so I get by. If I want something, I either save or do some trading. With the shelves so bare, I don't spend much these days.

We all are stretching the budget to help our kids. Those of us that have a living level retirement must husband our resources. Every penny I get comes from the government and that is downright scary.

No plus side at all, election laws were not followed. Economy ruined by blue state governors and mayors. The country showed the marxist, socialist, and Chinese just how soft and easily manipulated we are. And Joe wants you to turn in your firearms, tax you into poverty. Because no socialist country has a middle class. That's why they close the restaurants and churches.

Sounds to nice to tear apart.

We are now in another two month country wide lockdown and the cases still rising not been out with rifle for over ten months now, highlight of this month was a rat on the bird feeder!
Keep safe all..

Other than lessening my trips to the gun shops, there really isn't any plus to the Covid. But there isn't much of anything in the gun shops these days anyway. I can say I don't think I've ever seen the shelves so bare. Seems if there is something there, the prices are way up. Hopefully things will get back to somewhat normal soon and the shelves will start to fill back up.

Yes it is funny. I made a few stops this morning and a free 2021 calendar was all I ended up with. Powder was almost nil and very few bullets and even less loaded ammo. Seems people will buy about anything these days. Definitely a sellers market right now.
