I had a small sounder coming into a feeder but they no-showed so I decided to try calling before heading out to go home.
I ran 3 Glenn Guess sounds on my Convergent caller about 5 minutes each and the boar came in on the third set. ( Vampigra-The Rally-Sow Hysteria) He sort of "appeared" on my downwind side and was trying to circle downwind of the caller.
I had to go ahead and take the shot through some brush as I figured he was going to wind me at any second. He ran into a thick swamp after so I did not go in after him.
The landowner called me around noon today and told me he found the hog at the edge of the swamp 100 yards south of my stand.
