right? that was my whole point. cant resist just jumping in a random thread and dredging up old sh!t just to derail a conversation.

total thread hijack, for absolutely no reason.

So called derailment is not a one way street... For those that don't understand.

I just sit here and smirk, as things are rather predicable ...grin

Just read that Remington is laying off 585 employee's today. Remington is also refusing to pay accrued vacation pay and severance pay as well. I wonder how all this will work out? Has anyone heard or read who ended up with the 700 line? Or will that line of firearms just go away?

So last night while doing some reading online about Remington, I discovered something very interesting.

Roundhill Group LLC is the purchaser of Remington. This "Group" is spearheaded by Richmond Italia. This name immediately jumped out to me. Richmond is(was) the owner of GI Sportz (the largest paintball manufacturer and biggest name in all of paintball). GI Sportz just filed for bankruptcy two weeks ago and is claiming default on $29M in debt...

I heard an LLC called Round Hill Group bought them and I thought I read that they had to keep the plant open but it could've changed.
I know I received a $50 mail in rebate last week from Remington. I was surprised I received it.
I don't think Remingtons will just stop being produced. There is too much aftermarket support and too many people still buying Remingtons. Somebody will keep it going.

For some, maybe a little bit better definition of where Remingtn is possibly headed. For others, maybe not.......

I have read at several places that Roundhill has applied for an FFL manufacturer license and that they are using the time before it becomes effective to begin setting up an efficient manufacturing operation and to begin research and development of new tooling, etc. YMMV...........

Aside from exploding cans of tomato juice and emoji's, I hope that the purchasers of these companies are not funded in any way shape or form by left wing dems or extremists that have no intention of keeping firearms rolling out of the factory doors. I would love to see someone get hold of these outfits and take some pride in what they are doing and as stated before, go after quality rather than quantity. In this day and age in which we currently live, I get nervous about seeing those acquisitions being made not knowing who may be behind the funds.
