308 military surplus question

Guys I got a few hundred rounds of 308 (probably 7.62) fmj mil surplus ammo, it’s all lake city cased. I’m curious what the bullet weight might be. I tried pulling a bullet to weigh it but my collet puller wouldn’t budge it and I didn’t want to break something so I stopped. Anyway, just wondering what different weight bullets were used. Thanks

Bullet may be "welded" to case due to electrolysis. Set your seating die to "bump" the bullet a couple of thousandths of an inch deeper to break the weld. You will probably hear a crack when it moves, then you can pull the bullet easily.

Had a bunch of M72 Match 30-06 ammo that was very inaccurate until I bumped the entire lot. Some bullets made the cracking sound when they moved, others didn't. Breaking all bullets loose improved the accuracy of that lot of ammo greatly.
