I was deer hunting in NW Colorado, on BLM land next to a sheep ranch, on time. At night, the GP's (the dogs), would wander into my camp and growl at my camper. I was glad I didn't have to take a leak.

So, after 2 nights of this, I was on a ridge that overlooked the pasture the sheep and 3 GP's were in. The GP's were very relaxed, just laying around, until, that is, I broke out my coyote howler and let rip.

Immediately, the GP's jump up and run a few hundreds yards towards me and stop. After me being quiet for several minutes, they go back to the sheep and lay down. I let another howl rip, and here they come again. I did it once more, and then went on my way.

They do take their job seriously.
