If only we had a season

These flying ribeyes have been spending the evens in our pond for the last month. There are 2 big groups like this in our area right now. Just no season here to hunt them. Noise as all [beeep].

We have been lobbying for a season in MN for the last several years. We are told that they are part of the “eastern flock” and therefore protected. If they were Missouri River birds we could hunt them. It’s ridiculous.

All I can say is call or write you legislators. Eventually they will listen.

In central MN we get flocks of close to 1000 or more birds moving through, once crops get harvested acres and acres of sandhills fill the fields.

Have always wanted to hunt them as well... Saw two of them get trampled by a herd of cattle a few weeks back. Never seen anything like that before. Pretty weird.

I was watching a bear this past fall walking across an open field.
Had the spotting scope on it.
It walked into a small group of cranes.
Funny as [beeep] to watch but they surrounded him and escorting him away.
