never forgotten

Have the "protesters" actually insured that the men whose statues they have pulled down will never be forgotten?

Could it be that thousands who had never given a thought to who these men were now know more about them than ever before?

Might it be that they have brought or are bringing together individuals who did not before have strong feelings either way, those who held live let live philosophies to form an opinion,or take a side, because violence and destruction and racist rhetoric coming from "protesters"insults good Americans who work and support this country.

Have the mouthy groups with all the grievances really shot themselves in the foot?

If all the street marchers disappeared in a snap would the country miss their contribution (productivity) at all.

Academia has quietly quit teaching history, and what we called civics in the 50's, so there is a total lack of knowledge of our past. As George Santayana first stated in 1905 (later repeated by Winston Churchill), "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it".

Just watch Waters World if there is any doubt of the ignorance of >90% of those questioned as to their historical knowledge.

Hopefully, at least some will gain a bit of knowledge and see a glimmer of light.

Regards,
hm
