Is there a live trap made that a Raccoon when caught can't destroy the trip rod and pan?

We are having quite a time with coons getting into Silage, Corn Stalk bales and making a mess plus last night one ravaged a Guinea nest after only three days of incubation.

Are there other ways to catch them and not the pets?

There are dog proof traps and bait them with jelly and marshmallows to prevent cats.

You can find setting videos on utube

Try SR cages. 308 730-2711 handmade in Nebraska.

Much better than the farm store version.

SR cages on Facebook.

I just had a have a heart trap bottom ripped completely open from a coon. They warranted it but I wonít use the new one for coon any more. Itís about the sixth one in 40 years theyíve destroyed. I bought a different brand trap years ago thatís a lot more heavy duty with a bait entry door. I tried to find it on the internet but not a lot of luck. Must not be make any more. It was around $119.oo 20 years ago. Found it in some trapping magazine at the time. Itís made of duty steel and built like Fort Knox and rusted up right away. No coon will ever wreck it. I use dog proof coon cuffs with a lot better luck and they are only $15 each.
