FLIR brand "Thermal Rifle Scopes" question

Why did FLIR stop selling their Thermal Rifle Scopes to the general public....??? Why did they shift to only sell Thermal Rifle Scopes to the Military or Law Enforcement...???

This was the Official Announcement. There are lots of different rumors of why, but it really doesn't matter. Bottom line is, they are out of the civilian market, at least with weapon's sights.

I have a Zeus 336 and I needed a couple 321 battery cartridges, I had to contact FLIR because they now handle Armasight. They had the requested battery cartridges in my mailbox in three days and they were extremely professional.
